Coeur Sacré: Audrey Tautou walks the runway for AMI show in Montmartre
How to impress fashion aficionados who have already seen and re-seen everything? Alexandre Mattiussi’s answer is simple: make impossible possible, throwing a fashion show on Montmartre, where the models walked, literally, on the steps of Sacré Cœur, overlooking Paris. The collection, inspired by the signatures of the Parisian wardrobe (think, stripped sailor’s shirts, trench coats, blazers with golden buttons, thigh-high boots), was called Coeur Sacré in homage to the location of the show and the heart-shaped symbol of the brand. For the first time, Audrey Tautou took on the role of the model (remember, Amélie also lived in Montmartre?) and opened the show, followed by star-studied fashion crowd, including Ana Girardot, Germain Louvet, Liya Kebede, Cara Delevigne and Kristen McMenamy, who all walked in front of exceptional guests – Catherine Deneuve, Xavier Dolan, Caroline de Maigret, Jordan Béret, Carla Bruni and Naomi Campbell, were all in attendance. And to continue this typically Parisian evening, the friends of the Maison boarded the iconic Montmartre train. This cinematic trip would not have been complete without a matching soundtrack – during the ride down the hills of Montmartre to the garden party, organized at the Lycée Jacques Decour on Avenue Trudaine, we listened to the enchanting melodies by Jacques Brel and Edith Piaf. In the playground of the high school, Anderson Paak made us dance until the end of the night. Mischief managed! In a typically Parisian way…
