From February 3 to 26, Galerie Hussenot presents Hugo Comte’s first solo show in Paris in partnership with La Cité, the gallery founded by Thomas Lélu. The French photographer, known for creating the cover of Dua Lipa’s album “Future Nostalgia”, is also a staple of fashion editorials working with publications like Vogue or Dazed. Comte presents ‘Testament’ in collaboration with stylist (and Dazed Editor-in-Chief) Ibrahim Kamara. Fifteen monumental photographs make up this exhibition which explores “the belief-generating power of images and the construction of new mythologies”. Mixing references to sacred iconography and pop culture, Hugo Comte creates an imaginary world where beliefs meet to create new ones, all carried by beauty and wonder.
