Interior designer Dorothée Delaye decided to open an elegant, 70-inspired destination in a former 18th century coven in Paris’ Filles du Calvaire area. Her idea was to create the illusion that the interior decor had always been there and had remained unchanged for over 50 years. While the place was furnished with quite a lot of period furniture, some of them were designed especially to have that vintage feel. The hotel also managed not to fall in a caricatural use of Jeanneret, Perriand or Prouvé furniture, and to stand out with African touches as well as artworks found in the nearby galleries. This is a destination for people who are looking to be inspired visually. Now that Paris is starting to welcome back tourists, what better place is there to explore an other side of Le Marais?
