Stories of Liens: Chaumet celebrates togetherness in Paris

Togetherness has rarely been as challenged as today. In a world where relationships are digitalized and social distancing has become the new norm, Chaumet decided to revisit one of their iconic motifs, ‘Liens’, created in 1977, in order to celebrate the joy of being with the ones we love. The three-chapter collection is all about those unbreakable bonds. With timeless pieces to wear everyday (and designed to mix and match), ‘Jeux de Liens’ and ‘Jeux de Liens Harmony’ give a modern twist to the motif with delicate diamonds set on white or pink gold. The Harmony pendant is the newest addition to the collection: it is customizable, so that the wearer is able to keep close to their heart a name or a date in particular. The collection’s third chapter, ‘Liens Évidence’ embodies the unbreakable love between two people. During Paris Haute Couture Week – which took place entirely in the digital format – Chaumet invited friends and family to discover the collection in their historic 12 Vendôme salons. Every guest was invited to sit down and have their photograph taken in front of a blank canvas hand-painted by French calligrapher Clément Chayé with a special word they all had chosen. And so, ‘laugh’, ‘passion’, ‘hope’, or ‘infinite love’ all ended up creating the language of a new world: a world where the bonds that unite us are forever unbreakable.
