Paris by night with AMI Spring/Summer 2021
The show must go on for Alexandre Mattiussi – literally. The founder of AMI (pretty much the favorite brand of every Parisian) presented his Spring/Summer 2021 collection with a proper fashion show on the Quai de Seine – “the heart of Paris”, he wrote in his show notes. “I wanted to highlight the human need to be social, to meet and interact, with a message of hope”, the designer underlined. In a world where social distancing has had tremendous effect on Fashion Week as we know it, putting on a fashion show almost becomes an act of resistance. On the Quai Henri IV, the friends of the brand all came to discover the collection walk come nightfall. As always, the first row didn’t disappoint, with some French an international faces: Maisie Williams, Emmanuelle Béart, Christine & The Queens, Mahmood , Sami Outalbali, Nicolas Lecourt Mansion, Kiddy Smile, Nicky Doll, Karidja Touré, Maxence Danet-Fauvel, and more…
