Haute Couture designer Yiqing Yin is a multi-faceted talent. A trained fashion designer, she’s also a well-rounded artist, curator, artistic director and lecturer, and she jumps from one discipline to another with ease. So when Vacheron Constantin decided to have her as the ambassador of their new watch « Egérie », Yiqing Yin was not about to be just a face on a box. In fact, the timepiece bears the designer’s signature pleats as engravings on the dial. Born in Beijing, Yiqing Yin left China for Paris when she was only four years old. After graduating from the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, she began laying the foundations of her work: to sculpt the emptiness around the body, always looking for that perfect balance. While evolving over the years, her award-winning work has always kept the same objective: to use her craftsmanship in the search for beauty. The Egérie watch is yet another example of that: a high jewelry timepiece embodied by true talent.
