Nike Space Hippie X John Hooke: Reducing his footprint

With its first collection made entirely from waste under the leadership of chief designer John Hooke, Nike is putting a foot in the green economy. A step on the edge for a brand whose permanent renewal of collections is one of its backbones. Like a Hermès with a little H, Nike has decided to reuse and optimise all the waste from its manufacturing process to design a new generation of sneakers. Inspired by the work of NASA’s pioneers, this collection called Space Hippie is a hymn to the search for progress. But beyond reuse, the entire life cycle of the sneaker has been rethought so that even after its use, its borrowings are minimal. Beyond opportunism, let us salute these initiatives which remain small steps for mankind, and humanity, but which show the way forward.
