Alfalibra Gallery presents “Dada Girl”, a Marie Beltrami exhibition
Marie Beltrami is a name Parisians know well. Easily recognizable thanks to her legendary pink mane, her work is now featured in a solo exhibition at the Alfalibra Gallery. This hard-to-define style expert has worked with the greatest names of today: Paloma Picasso, Bettina Rheims, Richard Avedon, Jean-Paul Goude (for the latter, Beltrami is responsible for the styling in many of his iconic ads). But Marie Beltrami does not stop at fashion. A jack-of-all-trades who “always loved to give a new take on objects from everyday life,” she is a jewelry designer, photographer and illustrator, and adapts her creative vision with ease. Her exhibition “Dada Girl,” under the artistic direction of Frédéric Fontan, reflects the image of this character and plunges the visitor into her surrealist and colorful universe, which includes friends like Arielle Dombasle, Vincent Darré, Lukas Ionesco, Leonard Lasry and Nicolas Ker.
