Did you know that Lou Doillon is as good at drawing as she is at singing – a discipline for which she has made a name for herself? The daughter of Jane Birkin and Jacques Doillon presented yesterday the collection of drawings imagined for Astier de Villatte. The two creative minds meet around a book of sixty sketches (of hands, a body – often his own) and a series of exquisite cups bearing his drawings. It’s the kind of inspired collaboration we like to discover, and it seems we’re not alone. Too little seen in the “social” gatherings, Jane Birkin was nevertheless very present to support her daughter to whom she gave her smile. At Molière, you could also meet the jewellery designer Elie Top, actresses Virginie Ledoyen and Joséphine de la Baume, or the designer Haider Ackermann. A whole beautiful world who did not get tired of admiring the drawings of the talented Lou, exposed on the walls or leafing through the pages of her book, simply entitled “Drawings”.
