The Byblos Palace and Caves du Roy go all out for their 50-year anniversary

More than a hotel, it is a myth. The Byblos and its night club Les Caves du Roy have for decades welcomed the greatest international celebrities to their Saint-Tropez home. Mick Jagger choosing this ideal setting to celebrate his union with Bianca in 1971 is one of the many anecdotes the hotel has gathered since its creation in 1967. Run with passion by the Chevanne family, the timeless institution is now celebrating its 50th anniversary. It was the perfect occasion for the owners to invite their friends, from Anna Cleveland to Christian Louboutin to Catherine Baba, Kristina Bazan or Vincent Darré, to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime milestone. Formula 1 driver Esteban Gutierrez, football star David Ginola and Olympic champion Teddy Riner were also present to recall the close links between the hotel and top-level sports. The three hundred guests were able to discover fifty years of legend at the Byblos and the Caves du Roy thanks to an amazing video mapping projected on all the facades during a dinner imagined by Rivea chef Vincent Maillard. Antoine Chevanne also surrounded himself with prestigious partners with whom he presented the Byblos Exclusive Series: like Rosita Missoni (who designed a suite) the Signoles couple who presented an exclusive Goyard beach bag but also Sisley and its tailor-made vanity. Frank Floc’Hlay (Dom Pérignon) presented an exceptional series of five Methuselahs sold only at Caves du Roy. A Rolls Royce in the hotel’s colors was also waiting for its future owner. In the idyllic setting of the Palace (official title obtained in 2012), Sister Sledge turned the party up, and guests were not hesitant to dance all night long. Production: Mazarine Event
