The festivities of men’s fashion week began on Place Vendôme last night with a dinner hosted by the Kooples in honour of the art of tailoring. Alongside the Elicha brothers, the brand’s founding brothers with macabre coats of arms: Patrick Grant, “four pins” ambassador of Savile Row’s know-how and close collaborator with the company. A house that finds its fiefdom in the very heart of the square erected by Mansart, more precisely on the third floor of the Hôtel d’Évreux. Sumptuous decor for this party between friends, with the dandy touch of rigor, for the DNA imported from across the Channel.
The forty or so guests then headed to the Baron to listen to London Grammar followed by dj sets by Mos Def and Lil Mike of Birdy Nam Nam. Which, in itself, had nothing to envy to rock’n’ roll.
