Initiated by Florence Parot, Céline Chabat and Alexandre Ducasse with the help of the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard, Châteaux Secrets is a collective project inspired by a statement made by the architect Le Corbusier about his cabanon in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin: “I have a secret castle on the Côte d’Azur that is 3.66 m by 3.66 m by 2.26 m. It’s for my wife. It’s extravagant comfort, kindness.
This artistic experiment, visible until 29 September on the Var island of Embiez, brought together six groups of artists including Claudia Comte, We Are The Painters, Guillaume Pilet, Emilie Pitoiset, Maroussia Rebecq and Krux Amsterdam. The objective? Build structures around the hut theme.
The Châteaux Secrets project is not new: it was born two years ago and is sponsored by Le Corbusier. A journey to the heart of the Ricard family’s fiefdom, which more than ever puts itself at the service of contemporary art… even during the holidays.
