Signature of the book “The Smell of us” by Larry Clark

After having created the riot in the stairs of the Silencio during the sale of part of his archive photos last year, Larry Clark returns to Paris for the shooting and promotion of his latest film’The Smell of us’, in which he did not hesitate to stage himself as a post-pubescent foot-licker fetishist. Faithful to the sulphurous line””youth, sex, drugs & rock’n’roll”” which made it just as famous as polemical, the new opus of the American director comes this time to squatter the steps of the Palais de Tokyo – hotspot of Parisian skateboarding – on a background of prostitution 2.0 and fallen youth.

From this so-called bumpy shooting (strike of actors, absent actors, mini-budget…), the director drew a series of photographs exhibited at the ADC gallery and compiled in a book of the same name. Last Tuesday evening, at the invitation of his faithful friend Agnès b., Larry Clark signed the collection in the”Chez b.” boutique of this premiere.
