Since 1954, Supima has brought together and promoted top quality Pima cotton producers in the United States. In 2008, Supima created, in collaboration with the biggest design schools of the USA (Pratt Institute BF + DA, Rhode Island School of Design…), the Supima Design Competition in order to make discover the whole of its cotton offer (Denim, Corduroy, Twill, Knit, Shirting) and to offer a visibility to the emerging talents of the American design. Supima opens each year NYC Fashion Week with its fashion show and is, for the first time, present in Paris at the invitation of Jane D. Hartley, US Ambassador to France.
For this grand premiere, Supima entrusted Mazarine event with the organization of its cocktail presentation highlighting the work of the winner of the 2015 competition, Kate McKenna of Savannah College of Art and Design, alongside the collections of the other six finalists. Performance by Nicolas Ouchenir + DJ set by Cécile Togni @ l’Hôtel de Pontalba, Residence of the Ambassador. Till late.
