From October 23 to December 22, the Tornabuoni Art gallery presents in its Parisian space the first exhibition in France dedicated to the artist Paolo Scheggi, curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, associate curator of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice and publication director of the forthcoming Paolo Scheggi Catalogue Raisonné in collaboration with Franca and Cosima Scheggi.
The gallery thus retraces the fundamental stages of the brief but intense artistic career of Paolo Scheggi, a major protagonist of the Milanese avant-garde of the 60’s, exposing the different typologies of the artist’s works: from the works composed of superimposed sheet metal from the late 1950s to the first Intersuperfici with irregular and organic forms from the early 1960s, as well as the memorable installation of the 1966 Venice Biennale and, for the first time, visual poetry and performances. To see.
