Enchanting Tree by Tord Boontje
On the occasion of the FIAC, Perrier-Jouët unveiled an exclusive champagne bar at the Grand Palais. Since the House was founded in 1811, art has been an integral part of the House’s history. Expressed through numerous artistic collaborations %u2013 by Émile Gallé, who designed in 1902 the anemones that adorn the bottle of the prestigious Belle Epoque vintage, to the designer duo mischer’traxler through the artist Vik Muniz %u2013 it also manifests itself in the creation of champagnes, from the work of the vine to the ageing in the cellar, without forgetting the blending, led by their cellar master Hervé Deschamps.
Inspired by the metamorphosis of vines over the seasons, Tord Boontje has created a singular tree where an interlacing of stems, petals and flower buds plays in the light of spring. Natural size or in table format, this”Flute Tree” celebrates the anemone, so dear to the Maison Perrier-Jouët. The vegetal walls of the artist Tord Boontje, realized in collaboration with the Procédés Chénel sublimate this space borrowed from a bucolic poetry… 100% FIAC.
