Grand Hotel Flora x Giuliano Andrea Dell’Uva: Design and Memory in Sorrento

In Sorrento, the new season of hospitality hinges on a precise, almost sartorial dialogue between entrepreneurial vision and design. With the reopening of the Grand Hotel Flora in April 2026, the collaboration with architect Giuliano Andrea Dell’Uva is driving a transformation that is not simply a restyling, but rather a construction of identity.

The studio has worked on the dual register of memory and contemporary lightness, bringing to light the hotel’s original character and translating it into a language capable of speaking to an international audience. The 121 rooms, including 14 suites with spacious sun terraces overlooking the Mediterranean, blend elegant furnishings with the warmth of Vietri ceramics. Light-filled spaces are designed for comfort, aesthetics, and functionality.

On the ground floor, the Bistrot Silva welcomes guests into an elegant and relaxed atmosphere overlooking the large swimming pool. The lobby, designed as a home open to the city, evokes the domestic feel of Sorrento tradition, while artisanal materials, marine colors, and historic furnishings interact with clean lines and fluid solutions. It is precisely in this harmony between client and project that the new Flora finds its signature: a design hotel born from a relationship of trust and mutual understanding, where architecture becomes a narrative tool and hospitality a way of telling the story of the place, capable of connecting family history and future vision.
