Elie Saab’s Tribute to 1970s Summer Nights
For his Spring Summer 2026 show, Elie Saab embraces the nostalgia of the 1970s jet set and blends it with the golden glow of long summer nights. Introduced by a dramatic performance by a chamber orchestra, the collection, “Golden Summer Nights of ’71,” takes the form of a versatile muse, a symbol of beauty and freedom who catches everyone’s eye wherever she goes. Here, self-expression reigns supreme, and it is impossible to look away from these silhouettes wrapped in intricate embroideries. A few tailored suits and jumpsuits are mixed in with magnificent evening gowns worn like precious and dazzling jewels. There are large drapes of chiffon fabric to create flowing skirts, sheer details, open backs, traditional and animal motifs, and above all, a constant mix of gold and silver. A highly theatrical show, rounded off by a breathtaking wedding dress brimming with details, whose long embroidered train showcases Elie Saab’s unmatched craftsmanship.
