Berluti Unveils the New Shadow Sneaker With a Campaign by Beda Achermann
Directed by Beda Achermann and shot by Roe Ethridge, Berluti’s latest campaign features its three new brand ambassadors: French chef Mory Sacko, British actor Rupert Everett, and German bartender Charles Schumann. Playing on the tension between intimacy and grandeur, the photographic series conveys a sense of understated, immanent elegance. The images capture the role that the Shadow sneaker plays in the lives of those who wear it. These three talented individuals, different yet complementary, were each photographed in a space that is dear to their hearts—the place where they live, think, work and pursue their passions. The Shadow accompanies them as they retrace their lives, accompanying their journeys, step by step.
In 2019, the renowned French Maison unveiled Shadow, a sneaker that redefined the codes of men’s footwear and quickly established itself as the ultimate chic sneaker. Its international success lies not only in its design, but also in its singular manufacturing process: no fewer than 385,000 stitches are required to achieve a fit that keeps feet warm in winter without overheating, and cool in summer, while offering an appealing look. Ever faithful to its name, Shadow has become the shoe that looks after you, the companion you can always rely on, and the essence driving the campaign.
At the unveiling evening, held at Parisian gallery Lo Brutto Stahl, we had the pleasure of meeting CEO Jean-Marc Mansvelt, alongside Lee Junho, Victor Belmondo, Ryan Prevedel, Marc Beaugé, Gauthier Borsarello, William Ernult, Mattia Basso, and Lysander Zhang.
