Bikkembergs’ Scandinavian Inspiration
For Fall/Winter 2026, Lee Wood, creative director of the Bikkembergs brand, traveled to Copenhagen, gathered inspiration at the Design Museum, and returned to work on the brand’s signature functional elegance, blending it with the principles of Danish style. The result is a contemporary collection that combines casualwear, formalwear, and military accents. The colors chosen for F/W 26 are black, gray, navy blue, and brown, to which Wood adds bright touches, like the pure light that enters through the windows of the Scandinavian museum. The collection was presented in Milan on the opening day of Men’s Fashion Week, in the heart of Porta Genova, where a large-scale reproduction of the iconic Soccer model in white welcomed the numerous guests. Inside the space, the collection revealed its contents starting with the sneakers, reinterpreted with worn effects and fur lining details. Among these, the Soccer sneakers take on a vintage charm with treated leathers, while the Futsal and B4sk3t sneakers mix suede and leather. Textures also play a leading role in garments such as the Dirk jacket, an archive piece designed in vegetable leather, , as well as the nappa leather bomber jacket with embossed logo. Knitwear takes on a 3D look with raised stitches and intarsia, while Dirk sweaters combine merino and viscose yarns for an urban style. The homage to the world of soccer is more explicit in the T-shirts, which, showing how the inspiration from sport and minimalism is consistent throughout the collection, also recalls the clean lines of Danish architecture.
