After a soft, almost whispered opening in mid-December, January marks the official debut of ME Málaga, a new lifestyle destination in the city’s historic center. Among the project’s diverse offerings, one of the most interesting is the ME by Meliá x Lacoste collaboration: a gem that perfectly captures the concept of contemporary hospitality on which the hotel builds its identity.
The collaboration between Meliá Hotels International and the brand that has made sporty chic a global idiom translates into a relaxed yet precise welcome, recognizable in its details rather than its pronouncements. The clean and functional Lacoste uniforms become a discreet yet eloquent signature, capable of influencing the overall tone of the experience.
Supporting this vision is the architectural design by ASAH Studio, which reinterprets the spirit of the South through light, natural materials, and contemporary art. Among works by Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró, a mural by Marina Anaya, and ceilings designed by Rafa García, the hotel exudes a lived-in elegance that’s never ostentatious.
Bright rooms, a rooftop pool, signature cuisine, and social spaces complete an ecosystem designed for travelers and locals. ME Málaga doesn’t raise its voice: it prefers to stand out through its consistency. And the collaboration with Lacoste, precisely because it’s discreet, works.
