The Evok Collection Cinema Awards Honour Inspiring, Intergenerational Filmmaking
Following its inaugural edition in 2024, supported by Pierre Niney, Evok Collection has unveiled a new edition of its Cinema Prize | Brach. This second ceremony was a celebration of the French cinema we love: intergenerational and inspiring.
This year, the jury will be chaired by the iconic duo Éric Toledano and Olivier Nakache. A pair of French directors and screenwriters renowned for their successful social comedies such as “The Intouchables” (2011), “C’est la Vie!” (2017) and “The Specials” (2019), their films are both popular and committed, combining humour, emotion and a humanist view of contemporary society. They are also the creators of the series “In Therapy” for Arte (2021 and 2022) and the programme “The A Talk” for France TV, they embody the spirit of this award: a meeting between artistic excellence and openness to a wider audience.
Made up of Vincent Macaigne, Joséphine Japy, Eye Haïdara, William Lebghil and Jean Rabasse, the 2025 edition jury selected several winners. The Best Poster award went to Agence Metanoia, Thomas Creveuil and Marion Dorel for Fanon. The Best Trailer award was won by Agence Filmanoid Philippe Grellat for “À Bicyclette”. Jane Milon scooped the Best Hairdresser award for “Ma Mère, Dieu et Sylvie Vartan”, while Amélie Bouilly received the Best Make-up Artist award for the same film. The “Young Talent” Awards went to actress Anja Verderosa for L’Épreuve du feu, and actor Abraham Wapler for “Colours of Time”. Mélanie Thierry was named Best Actress for “Connemara”, and Pio Marmaï Best Actor for his role in “The Ties That Bind Us”. Finally, L’Épreuve du feu, directed by Aurélien Peyre, was voted Best Film of the year.
