Le Meurice Celebrates The New Edition of Cultured at Home Alongside Design Miami.Paris

Le Meurice, Paris

Design has found its home again. With the third edition of Design Miami.Paris, the Hôtel de Maisons in Saint-Germain-des-Prés reaffirms itself as the most dazzling salon of Art Week — a place where collecting, aesthetics, and a certain effortless worldliness blend without asking permission. From October 22 to 26, running in parallel with Art Basel Paris, the international collectible design fair welcomes a record number of over 25 galleries from around the world, transforming the historic spaces and gardens of the mansion into a mosaic of visual, material, and conceptual narratives.

The other evening, the exclusive dinner held in the elegant dining rooms of Le Meurice Alain Ducasse on rue de Rivoli celebrated the collaboration between Design Miami, led by Jen Roberts, and Cultured Magazine, directed by Sarah Harrelson, who in her welcome speech thanked the fair for what she called a “precious and natural partnership.” It was an encounter between two kindred forces: on one side, the platform that defines the global coordinates of collectible design; on the other, the magazine that has long chronicled the protagonists of contemporary culture with both erudition and irreverence.

At dinner, dialogue was the word of the night. The guest list included leading figures from the worlds of architecture, galleries, and design — among them François Laffanour, Hervé Descottes, Jesse Lee, Paul Kanavos, Pascal Billard, and many others. Conversations flowed effortlessly across the table, touching on the fair’s different sections, especially Design at Large, the program that animates the courtyard and gardens with monumental sculptures and conceptual works.

Design Miami.Paris thus remains true to its DNA: celebrating creativity as a universal language, where form becomes storytelling and luxury is never static, always in motion. And in a city built on conversation and connection, the dialogue between Design Miami and Cultured feels like the perfect metaphor for this moment — brilliant, elegant, and just slightly elusive, much like Paris itself.
