The Hotel Les Deux Gares Unveils the “Express” Project

Hôtel des Deux Gares, Paris

The Hotel Les Deux Gares is officially launching Les Deux Gares Express, a new bistro by Touriste, located above the tracks at Gare de l’Est. Designed as an extension of the hotel, the venue boasts a Parisian café atmosphere with a London twist. At the helm is the trio from Café des Deux Gares, composed of Luke Edward Hall on décor, Jonathan Schweizer in the kitchen and Frédéric Lesire behind the bar.

For the project, Luke Edward Hall designed a colourful and eccentric décor, featuring a ceiling painted by Pauline Leyravaud, geometric tiles, celadon green marble tables, a saffron yellow counter, Rubelli Group fabrics and photographs by Wondering People. A large oak table and a light wood sideboard round off the design, creating a unique neo-bistro atmosphere.

As for the menu, Jonathan Schweizer and Frédéric Lesire offer revisited French classics, such as Maceron mayonnaise eggs, brioche croque-monsieur and verjuice meringue tartlets. Homemade sandwiches are served at lunchtime, and sharing plates accompanied by a selection of natural wines are available all day long, all on a large sunny terrace, which also serves breakfast and the pastries from Boulangerie Sain.

During the launch evening, we met Adrien Gloaguen, Charles Quentel, Jeremy Pardo, Ilaria Conti and many others.
