Rencontres d’Arles 2025: Highlights of a Committed 56th Edition

Arles

In the south of France, the Rencontres d’Arles 2025 festival is in full swing. From award ceremonies to exhibition openings, Say Who photographers were able to capture some special moments from the beginning of this exceptional festival. Key moments include Diana Markosian winning the Prix de la Photo Madame Figaro Arles 2025, while Nan Goldin, this edition’s guest of honour, was awarded the Prix Kering Women In Motion for Photography 2025. We were able to preview the work of Letizia Battaglia, ‘Always In Search of Life’, as well as Kikuji Kawada’s exhibition, ‘Endless Map – Invisible’, Caroline Corbasson’s show at the Lee Ufan Foundation, ‘Ancestral Futures’, presented as part of the 2025 France-Brazil cultural season, and ‘U.S. Route 1’, on the socio-economic changes and identity of the United States.

During these first few impactful days, we met Aurélie de Lanlay, Kourtney Roy, Philippe Régnier, Marie-Ann Yemsi, César González-Aguirre (curator of the Discovery Award 2025) and many others.
