Kevin Germanier’s Playful and Striking Silhouettes Wrap Up Paris Haute Couture Week
‘Les Joueuses’ seems to have sprung straight from a child’s wild imagination. For this collection, fashion designer Kevin Germanier experimented with prints (polka dots, snakeskin, leopard, stripes) with bold colour combinations and extraordinary volumes. This light, vibrant wardrobe never strays far from the characteristic refinement of haute-couture, and doesn’t lack depth or precision. Captivating the audience, the pearl-embroidered looks echo Brazilian artist Gustavo Silvestre’s balloon dresses made of raffia palm leaves. Last but not least, a playful collaboration with Hello Kitty rounded off this daring and refined show. We met Pascal Morand, Isabelle Chaput, Thomas Jolly, Marco Aiello and Diane Pernet.
