Kicking Off Paris Design Week 2025
On June 24th, Paris Design Week and the Centre des monuments nationaux welcomed the design community at the Hôtel de Sully to celebrate the launch of Paris Design Week, which will take place from September 4th to 13th. This new edition will be particularly symbolic, because it will mark the 15th anniversary of Paris Design Week, which has become a major event in all Parisian agendas.
Gathered at the gardens of this exceptional venue, guests could enjoy a welcome cocktail in a festive and summery atmosphere. The evening was launched by a welcoming speech from Marie Lavandier, President of the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, who praised the dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation.
Managing Director of SAFI – Maison&Objet, Mélanie Leroy, also took to the stage to underline the symbiotic nature of Maison&Objet and Paris Design Week, two pillars of a unifying ecosystem serving design professionals.
Later on, Franck Millot, Director of Paris Design Week, accompanied by Éric Kardi, coordinator of the event, presented the main themes of the September edition: the routes through Paris, the partner venues, the new talent to be discovered, as well as the highlights of the programme.
After the speeches, designers, architects, editors, brands, cultural institutions and representatives from different media gathered to toast for the new events to come. It was a time for sharing and celebrating the upcoming edition, which will be filled with creativity, dialogue and innovation.
