Giorgio Armani Brings Mediterranean Glamour to the Catwalk
Few colours capture the essence of summer quite like blue. Last Monday, the azure hues of Mediterranean skies and seas imbued Giorgio Armani’s Spring-Summer 2026 Fashion Show, inviting us to daydream of the upcoming holiday season. In all its shades, blue conveys calm and harmony, emotions embodied by the title of the collection: “Con l’armonia di sempre” (With harmony, as always). This season’s concept is to blend seemingly dissonant elements with grace, allowing them to merge into a cohesive vision. The show moved fluidly between urban and holiday inspirations, Eastern influences and Western codes, all filtered through Armani’s unmistakable stylistic lens.
This is a familiar aesthetic: airy, effortless, and softly structured. Double-breasted jackets with shawl collars and low buttoning were paired with wide-leg trousers, some featuring drop pleats. These trousers were either tapered at the ankle or allowed to fall loosely with generous turn-ups over suede desert boots, sandals, loafers and slippers. Each silhouette gently skims the body, never restricting it.
Leather trench coats and jackets are as lightweight as shirts, while the knitwear is both enveloping and featherlight. The colour palette showcases Armani’s signature tones: desert hues, rich navies, and urban greys, punctuated by delicate pastels – aquamarine, bougainvillea and cyclamen. Among the prestigious front row were Jason Isaacs, Max Minghella, Fatih Akin, Edoardo Leo, Giancarlo Esposito and Simu Liu.
