Pascale Marthine Tayou and Stéphanie Mansy Take Over the Galleria Continua / Les Moulins

Boissy-le-Châtel

Located in former paper mills in the commune of Boissy-le-Châtel, the two GALLERIA CONTINUA / Les Moulins venues cover some 15 hectares to the east of Paris. In this surprising setting, the Italian contemporary art gallery is devoting a major exhibition to Pascale Marthine Tayou, entitled “Tchâm : Confidences”. This monographic show retraces 25 years of the Belgian-Cameroonian artist’s colorful career, through some one hundred works made of glass, crystal, chalk and other salvaged objects. Visitors can enjoy a cheerful stroll through monumental installations addressing engaged themes, halfway between collective memories and contemporary issues. The gallery is simultaneously hosting Stéphanie Mansy’s exhibition “La chair aux gens” at Art&Futur. The artist is presenting murals, installations and performances, exploring topics such as the body, architecture and memory. Enlivened by DJ sets from Space Afrika and Hadj Sameer, the opening day brought together Lorenzo Fiaschi, Maurizio Regillo, Pauline Giroux, Daniel Buren, Pepo Moreno and many others.
