Pierre Charpin x Zanotta: Riga-Riga is a geometric symphony of wood and glass

Pierre Charpin returns to Zanotta with Riga-Riga, a collection that showcases both artisanal precision and the French designer’s artistic flair. Comprising a table, sideboard, and storage unit, the collection is defined by its rhythmic pattern of lines—crafted from tinted ash wood and colorful glass inserts—that gives Riga-Riga its name. These surfaces become decorative compositions, balancing depth, color, and compositional rigor.

“The research continues today,” says Charpin, “seeking a more simple, more synthetic response, with strong visual impact.” The table, offered in two finishes—black with mint and sky glass; or amaranth with ivory and coral—features cylindrical legs that echo its geometric purity. Riga-Riga confirms Zanotta’s ongoing dialogue between art and function.
