PAD Paris Kicks Off its 27th Edition at the Jardin des Tuileries
There is no better season for aesthetes than spring, especially in the French capital, which is in full bloom with Art Week and its design counterpart, PAD Paris. From April 2nd to 6th, the leading fair for historic and contemporary design, founded by Patrick Perrin in 1998, returns to its usual spot, the Jardin des Tuileries. The 2025 edition of PAD Paris is as dynamic as ever, welcoming 74 galleries from all over the world. This year, fifteen newcomers make their debut at the fair, including Unno Gallery from Mexico City, Palaty Gallery, based in St Petersburg and Moscow, Maison Intègre, based between Paris and Ouagadougou, and Sarah Myerscough, a regular and successful participant in previous London editions, who joins the Parisian edition for the first time.
The event also sees 3 prestigious prizes awarded by a jury of passionate professionals, co-chaired by interior designer Laura Gonzalez and decorator Jacques Grange. For this 27th edition, the Contemporary Design Prize went to the Galerie Romain Morandi for the ‘Flame cut’ deckchair by Tom Dixon, the Historic Design Prize went to the Galerie Meubles et Lumière for the ‘Canopy’ brushed steel bed by Maria Pergay, and the Stand Prize was awarded to the Galerie du Passage, by Pierre Passebon and Antoine Catzeflis, which presented a furniture collection by Richard Peduzzi.
At the opening, we crossed paths with Harry Nuriev, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, Joseph Dirand, Richard Peduzzi, Hervé Lemoine, Johan Creten, Sarah Andelman, Michele Lamy, Antoine Arnault, Natalia Vodianova, and Melanie Leroy, to name a few.
