MAITREPIERRE Transcends the Notion of Time with “Future Memory”

Palais de Tokyo, Paris

Because being innovative doesn’t necessarily mean starting from scratch, MAITREPIERRE takes a look at the past to create a forward-thinking collection for the Fall-Winter 25/26 season. Taking upcycling to a conceptual level, the French fashion designer uses state-of-the-art technologies to give a new lease of life not just to dead stock, but also to silhouettes, codes and styles that have fallen out of fashion. Thanks to laser cut embellishments, furnishing fabrics from the 1920s are transformed, a century later, into a series of garments in a soft colour palette dominated by pale pinks and greens. Mischievous and retro-futuristic, the spirit of the collection is epitomised by a pair of Converse, which, revisited by MAITREPIERRE, are set to make a huge comeback on Parisian streets. To top off this retromania, Brussels artist and designer Clara Besnard, winner of the Prix Accessoire Hermès 2024, has designed upcycled eyewear and headpieces for the brand.

On the front row, we caught a glimpse of Ogee, Suzi de Givenchi, Clara Berry, Louise Follain, Aimé Simone, and Fleur Copin, to name a few.
